One of the Omega3 benefits, which is a fat you need in your body, is that it will help you lose weight.

Omega3 will make you very healthy and will help burn fat off your body.

Salmon is very good for your health and is a great source of Omega3’s.

Your body has 2 Essential Fatty Acids it needs to function properly, but it cannot make them on its own, Omega3 fats and Omega6 fats.

You get Omega6 fat from grains, some vegetable oils, and some processed foods, so many folks are getting far too many Omega6’s.

You get Omega3 fat from leafy greens, wild salmon, walnuts, organic eggs, and sardines.

Unfortunately, many people are not getting enough of these in their diet.

Your body wants to see a ratio of 1 Omega3 to 4 Omega6. Many people are eating way too many Omega6’s, in the form of grains, that the ratio is 1 to 50! That is, 1 Omega3 to 50

Omega6’s. People in this 1 to 50 category are not getting enough Omega3’s in the forms of fish, healthy oils (like flax seed oil), and walnuts.

One of the processes your body uses Omega3’s for is to burn fat, so ingesting more of these healthy foods will help your metabolism to burn fat.

Where can you include these food sources in your day?

Breakfast

Organic eggs or flax seeds (grind fresh flax seeds and put them onto your meal)

Snack

Walnuts or nut butter

Lunch

Wild fish, sardines

Even including flax seed oil into your meals will help.

Try to include 2 or 3 good sources of Omega3’s per day, and that will be sufficient. Also decrease the amount of grains and processed foods you are eating. (See this healthy food pyramid. It is the 2nd level from the bottom.)

The goal is to bring the 2 into balance, (that ratio again is, 1/4).

Don’t have bread with every meal. Don’t have the packaged foods or snacks just because you’re in a hurry. You can grab raw walnuts and an apple just as quickly as you can grab the processed granola bar. Don’t think that healthy food can’t be easy fast food.

It is very easy to get enough Omega3’s during the day.
